The Glory of the Society

In her various roles, woman always spends her life by renunciation, sacrifice, patience, sympathy, love and faith for the human race. One sees in her eyes compassion, beauty and joy. Her speech is the source of nectar for the life. Her sweet smile has the incredible capacity to remove all the disappointment and bitterness of the world. As a wife, she is her husband’s partner, and co-performer of religious duties and rituals. The wife’s tender skill saves the husband from rudeness and animal-life and lends him the dignity of a householder. When a woman adorned with learning, grandeur, bravery, good tastes, warmth and compassion marries a man of culture, good conduct and character, then both in the family as well as in the society their names and fame spread.
The best identity of a woman is as a mother and through motherhood her personality becomes complete. To give birth to a child is not a result of physical entertainment, but a brave responsibility with far-reaching effects. Many and varied problems like the development of the fetus in the womb, the bringing up of the baby after the terrible pain of child-birth, the feeding and exercising of the baby, education etc are connected with it. Ultimately only the parents have to make proper arrangements for it. If the husband and wife have the capacity to bear all the above responsibilities, then they should try to bring forth a new life into this world. In advance, they must make their physical, mental background and family atmosphere so excellent that the child to be born will prove pure and cultured from every angle. Just as we prepare for any work in advance, similarly for this very important plan, there should not be any mistake in the preparation, the time of conception and remains for lifetime in the individual.
Without proper preparations, to give birth to uncultured and undeveloped children not only creates troubles for the parents, but simultaneously it becomes a breach of trust with the society and the country. A society filled with citizens who are wicked and addicted is collectively pushed into the chasm of downfall. Such children become a stigma on a woman’s motherhood. Only when the pious deeds of giving birth to proper, virtuous, well developed and cultured children is carried out with full faith and dedication, can the number of impressive and excellent men increase.

One has to try to develop one’s inner feelings, which can be done simply by training one’s mind. This is a priceless human asset and one you don’t have to pay income tax on!

Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it backs

The Soul is Immortal and the Body is Mortal

Almost all men are ignorant or have false ideas about the mysterious relationship between the soul and the body. From where the soul enters the body and where it goes after the body’s death has always been a matter of debate. The Gita very clearly states that the soul cannot be cut or pierced, no fire can burn it. Nor water wet it nor can the wind dry it. Thus it is clear that the body does die, but despite its death the soul does not die. The soul is immortal, always exists and is eternal. Despite the death of the body, the soul remains as it is.
Although the soul and the body are different in nature, they stay together. The sage tells us in the scripture ‘kathopanishad’ that the body is like a chariot with horses harnessed to it. The reins of the horses are in the grip of the charioteer, and the drives them although his boss is sitting behind. The charioteer drives the chariot according to the order of his boss. The body is the chariot, the senses are the horses, the mind is the harness and the intelligence is the driver or the charioteer. The soul is the lord and master of this chariot and hence the intelligence has to do whatever the soul orders. The mind and the senses have then to act accordingly. As long as this process is followed, the chariot teaches the destination i.e. achieves spiritual uplift and salvation, otherwise one knows in which species the soul will have to migrate in the vicious circle of births and deaths.
There is a paradox of immortality of the soul and mortality of the body, and yet there is an unbreakable relationship between the tow. As long as the body is alive, the soul does not leave it despite whatever disregards man shows for his soul. For practical living, both spiritualism and materialism are necessary. There should be simultaneously an attempt must be made for the uplift of the soul. We should review every moment our deeds and go on purifying our attitudes. Self restraint should be made regular feature. Attention must be given to mental health along with physical health also. Pure thoughts are born only when both remain healthy.
The usefulness of the body lies in deeply imbibing this truth deep within the heart and bringing it in one’s conduct.
The jewel of the soul is priceless and yet is being squandered like this, in exchange for a mere shell.
One has to try to develop one’s inner feelings, which can be done simply by training one’s mind. This is a priceless human asset and one you don’t have to pay income tax on.

Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today

The Thirst of Fame

Generally everything in life comes in pairs. Not in terms of opposites but in terms of ensuring balance in-existence  Like rights come with duty, freedom comes with responsibility and so on. The secret is to identify the pairs. Some of them are visible and taken for granted. For some others, you have to play something like a memory game..... You have to search out the pair. When any concept is understood along with its pair then it becomes firmly rooted and gives more results than when it is tackled or pursued in isolation.
One such single which is hunting for its pair is fame. Most people seek fame. Some want international recognition and work towards that some want national acclaim and yet others are happy being the leader in the family circle or the colony community. Again the reason for the fame and the talent being showcased can be as varied as flowers in a garden. To celebrate the idea of fame we also have many record books that document the different fields.
Our quest for fame is perhaps only younger than our quest for truth. Psychologists say that every human being seeks immortality and therefore seeks fame..... So that they live beyond their calendar years at least in name. And that is why there is the obsession to 'become'.
Fame brings immediate power. Sometimes the power of fame may not bring any wealth. But it brings honor and respect. What makes the fame lasting? What pairs with fame? Much too often fame is confused with the riches it might bring it is believed that if money is made, dignity and respect will naturally accrue. That is not entirely untrue. Money does buy many things..... But that which is bought, also sells is it not? As the market decides the price for such things, the halo of fame remains, but the substances that makes it, in terms of adulation and trust that the famous inspire, gets whittled down.
On looking a little closer one finds that, since the power wielded by fame is derived from it, lasting fame will accrue only when you recognize from whom you have derived that power and invest it back in them or that. Sacred books live eternally because they invest the reader with the power of divine blessing. Leaders derive their power from the people, parents from their children, a cook from the people who scour his food, a designer from his craftsmen and so it goes, in every field of life.
The pair of fame is thus service, which is to be useful. When there is service, fame comes automatically and this fame is rooted in a noble activity. To remember this is the path to the kind of fame that lives after you is what makes you immortal. That is why a good teacher is remembered at all times and is 'famous' among students of the school and their families.

The Sanskrit tradition identified long ago that the eternal quality of fame and the dignity it inspires is oft-smudged by the grime of life. What remains and dominated all actions is the desire for fame. So it is said humorously in a subhashitani (a couplet which has an inherent lesson in it) that break a pot, tear your clothes and ride a donkey, if you may, but make sure you become famous - at any cost! But surely, not at the cost of crossing the thin line that divides fame from notoriety?
It is this power that transforms me inside, making me pure and powerful. When the soul and God are linked together, there is a power that reaches me and invisibly across to others, bringing about transformation in them, in nature and in the world.

The secret of this power of silence is that I don’t have to do the work of transformation. Divine power automatically transforms. Let me do the inner work. Let me go deeply into that experience of the original sate of the self, and let there be silence so that God is able to do His work through me.

What You Think

A person is said to have achieved yoga, union with the Self, when the perfectly disciplined mind gets free of all desires, and becomes absorbed in the Self alone.                      Gita 6.18

We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.                    Gautam Buddha

The powers of the mind should be concentrated and the mind turned back upon itself, as the darkest places reveal their secrets before the penetrating rays of the sun, so will the concentrated mind penetrate its own inner most secrets.                    Swami Vivekananda

The thinker is the thought. We would like it to be different so that the thinker may explain the things to himself by means of the thought.
Full of Faith
A man of faith, absorbed in faith, his senses controlled, attains knowledge and knowledge attained quickly finds Supreme peace. But the ignorant man, who is without faith, goes doubting to destruction. For the neither doubting self there is neither this world, nor the next nor joy.                Gita 4.39-40

Faith is composed of the heart's intention. Light comes through faith. Through faith men come to prayer. Faith in the morning, faith at noon and at the setting of the sun. O Faith, give us faith!                   Rigveda

Color of Aura according to the Chakras

The chakras can be easily located through feeling, and their intensity can be measured approximately through the pendulum. The seven chakras lie on the spine at the following positions in the body:
1.  Root:       Mid-point between the anus and the genitals
2.  Sacral:     One inch inside at the level of the end of the tailbone
3.  Solar:      Behind the navel
4.  Heart:      Centre of the chest at the level of the heart
5.  Throat:     Behind the throat pit
6.  Eyebrow: At the intersection of the horizontal (eyebrow) and the vertical (centre of the head).
You can feel the high order of energy emanated by the chakras when compared to any other part of the body, except of course, the fingers and toes. It would be a surprisingly pleasant experience. You can place one (or both) hands in front of the root centre at a distance of about one foot. Bring it slowly towards the root centre till you feel some resistance. Pull it away a little and then move it forward again. Finally you reach a point, which is the definite boundary of the aura. If the same experiment is performed at a point near the root chakra (not exactly at the chakra), you can bring your hand closer to the body without resistance, than in the former case. This explains the higher energy at the chakras. After locating the root chakra, locate all the higher chakras one by one in the same manner.
To increase your awareness of the chakras, you can ask your friend to lie down and you can locate all his/her chakras. Your friend can do the same for you. Each one of you should pay attention to the point when the other person touches the boundary of the aura. You can feel the intrusion of your auric field by the other person consciously. You can experiment in a similar manner by facing the corner of a room, and asking your friend to move towards you slowly from the other corner. The moment he/she enters your auric field, such an auric field is called 'personal space' or 'psychological aura'.

Now you can use a pendulum and program it to oscillate clockwise if a chakra is open. Also instruct your subconscious and the pendulum to oscillate with a speed proportional to the opening of the chakra. Thus, if a chakra is closed, the pendulum will not move at all. In the other extreme, if it is fully open, the pendulum will oscillate very rapidly, making large circle. Now ask your friend to lie down or his/her back so that you can hang the pendulum on each chakra one by one. Note the movement of the pendulum at each chakra, which tells you the degree to which each chakra is open.

Activation of internal power centre's by Gayatri Sadhana

The master of Mantra-vidya knows that words are uttered by different parts of the mouth such as, throat (larynx), tongue, teeth, lips and the root of the tongue. During speech, the nerve-fibers of the particular parts of the mouth form which sound emits stretch up to different parts of the body and put pressure on the corresponding glands. If particular glands of the persons concerned are diseased or dysfunctional he starts stammering while uttering the specific words. There are many large and small, visible and invisible glands in the body. Yogis know that some specific energy lies hidden in these glands, Shat-chakras (six energy centres) related to the shushumana are quite well-known but there are several other such glands in the body. The utterance of different words has its impact on different glands and by such impact the energy of these glands gets stimulated. Mantras have been composed on this basis. There are twenty -four letters in Gayatri Mantra which are related to twenty-four such glands located in the body which on getting stimulated, activate and awaken the powers of righteous wisdom. By uttering Gayatri Mantra the sitar of the subtle (sookshma) body of the Sadhak starts playing, tinkling at twenty-four points, creating sound waves which impact important elements of the invisible world. It is this impact which becomes more and more pronounced and tangible through Gayatri Sadhana.
The flow of sound of these twenty-four letters of the Maha Mantra is of deep significance. The experts of the science of sound know the powers hidden in sound and the results which can be achieved by its subtle vibrations. Sound is synonymous with Brahma. It is Brahma from whom the original first creative vibration issues forth resulting in seven time chanting of OM. Just as the pendulum of a clock keeps on moving by swinging to and fro, in the same way the sound waves of Om create vibrations which regulate this creation. Later, three main waves of Sat, Raj, Tam relating to Hreem, Shreem and Kleem elements respectively flow in this current. It is further divided into branches and sub-branches which are known as Beej-Manteras. The letters, words and clauses of Gayatri Mantra have been seen by a seer vision and emanate from the unified field of creative energy, arranged in a specific and special sequence and inter-relationship. Chanted with sincere devotion, they plug the Sadhak's soul into the supreme and inexhaustible fount of spiritual energy.
Singing of Deepak-raj light up extinguished lamps. It starts raining when megh-malhar tune is sung. The melody created by playing flute makes the snakes wave their hoods in synchronicity, deer gets swooned and cows stat yielding more milk. The warbling of cuckoo incites passion. Even strong iron bridges may collapse by the sound created by the in-step, coordinated and rhythmic marching of a troop soldiers. The army is, therefore, forbidden to march rhythmically, in-step, while crossing a bridge. Dr. Hutchinson of America has achieved success and fame in curing several patients suffering from incurable and painful diseases by different musical sounds. In Nepal, Tantriks keep a Thali (large metallic plate) on a pot and play it in a special rhythm and are capable of curing persons bitten by poisonous snakes, scorpions etc. and those suffering from thyroid goiter, Vishvel (poisonous creeper), ghosts, mania etc. The vibration of a specific sound spread in the ether and attracts atoms of similar type and return to their origin within few moments, duly charged with appropriate energy which exercises curative impact in the appropriate areas. This is how Mantras accomplish miraculous effects. The chanting of Gayatri Mantra activities the network of nerves in the mouth and stimulates specific glands. No sooner do they get stimulated, a Vedic symphony is created which spreads in the either, takes a round of the entire universe, coming back to the source with its energy augmented manifold, capable of fulfilling the desired purpose. Gayatri Sadhana, thus, becomes a spiritual as well as a material boon for the Sadhak.
The factor which makes Gayatri Mantra extremely potent is the Sadhak's confidence coupled with faith. Psychologists are well acquainted with the power of self confidence. Instances have been cited that only on account of imaginary fear people met untimely death and persons who were almost dead got new life on account of faith and confidence. Tulsidas has in his Ramayana compared faith and confidence to Bhawani and Shankar and stated that -"Bhawani Shankaro vande shraddha vishvas rupino". It is faith which has the power to turn a bush into a ghost, a rope into a snake and an idol into God. There are people who happily sacrifice money, comfort and even life for defending one's faith and conviction. Eklavya, Kaveer etc. are examples of persons who acquired knowledge not directly from their masters, Gurus, but by dint of their unflinching faith in them. The basis of hypnotism is to get the desired work done by the subject just by infusing faith in him in the words of the physician. The Mantra of the Tantrik works miraculously on the patient only if he has deep faith in it. A Sadhak devoid of faith may utter that Tantrik Mantra hundreds of times but it will not have any effect. This fact applies to Gayatri Mantra also. When the Sadhak takes up Sadhana with faith and confidence Gayatri Mantra becomes much more effective and proves to be extra-ordinarily powerful die to the combined effect of faith and the Mantra's own intrinsic spiritual energy. It is explained below that which particular letter of Gayatri is related to which part of the body. The details are given in the following chart:-
Sn        Letter  Gland              Involved energy

Gayatri activates the above mentioned twenty-four divine qualities in the devotee.  With their growth, varied accomplishments (Saddhis) and prosperity start manifesting in the life of the devotees. Most of the people think that some god or goddess is bestowing these gifts because they are unable to see and understand the working of these subtle divine energies and the transformations flowing there from. Once they understand that transformations are taking place as a result of their own Sadhana they would realize that it is not by way of some scientific process of spiritual growth. Gayatri Sadhana is not based on blind faith but has a solid scientific basis.

God has Handed Wife for me.

Message: The responsibility of a happy home-life lies with both husband and wife, although of course, the responsibility of the husband is more because the wife leaves her family to join the husband's family. God the Supreme Father has created the opportunity for the union of two souls and the conduct of both must be excellent. By doing this, happiness in family and good luck are achieved. Good luck of married life does not lie merely in getting married, but there should be loving adjustment between the husband and wife and only by that type of behavior, permanent happiness is achieved. Good luck remains stable where there is mutual sharing of love and happiness or sorrow between the two. To maintain this happiness of married life, it is necessary to maintain this tradition and to have healthy children. In this way both remain happy and achieve longevity with good luck.
For a happy future of the bride-to-be, it becomes necessary to evaluate the qualities of the husband-to-be. A worthy, learned and addiction-free man can carry the burden of a successful and happy family. He should not only be highly knowledgeable and with good qualities, but simultaneously physically strong and free from bad tendencies, bas activities and addictions. Addictions are like poison in a family. A man trapped in liquor, gambling, etc destroys the family's happiness and peace, and gets insults and bad name, and along with him his wife also undergoes mental pain.
From a practical view-point, the wife's area of work is within the home and the husband's area of work is outside the home. His responsibility is to look after the family with a proper display of his worthiness, learning etc. The woman's work area lies in properly organizing the home. It is the woman's duty to make proper use of money earned honestly by the husband to maintain house, cleanliness etc and to feed the family. Both must make proper adjustments in their above duties and make arrangements to run the family satisfactorily within limited means. It is the wife's duty to maintain a cheerful atmosphere within the family even by bearing hardships. A man is not as skilful as a woman in organizing the home. A heavenly atmosphere prevails in a neat home

A man must be prosperous as far as food-grains and other means of comfort are concerned. He should be bright and cheerful. Only such husband can fully satisfy his wife and keep her cheerful.
